Genius Flatroller

Gerrit Kuster is the mastermind behind the Genius Flatroller, the rolling floor. The idea originated in 2017 during preparations for Justin Bieber's concert. Justin Bieber wanted to quickly transform the stage during his performance. Gerrit came up with the Genius Flatroller, which is still frequently used to this day at concerts and festivals, including Armin van Buuren's performance at Pinkpop 2019.

The ''Gerritje''

The so-called 'Gerritje' is a Layher wedge head on a wooden board, invented by our very own Gerrit Kuster. Gerrit came up with this idea for the decor of the first dance parties in the early '90s.

It is possible to attach the 'Gerritje' to a Layher structure using screws, allowing it to be secured to a variety of items.

The 'Gerritje' makes it possible to create a vertical connection between the Layher structure and other materials such as wood or plastic. The wedge head of the 'Gerritje' can be hung on the rosette of a standard, and the wooden board can be used to screw materials in place.
